Update for Tuesday, June 9.

Tomorrow will be our opening day for 2026 and we are expecting a very good picking day with good quantities of King berries, all ripe and ready to pick. King berries are the first berry of the season for each plant and they are the largest.

We will pick both our Jewel and Wendy varieties.

We open at 7 AM so come early to beat the heat. Bring a sun hat and some bug spray. We will post information about any possible pre-pick berries by 11am tomorrow.

Look forward to seeing you on the farm.

Dear strawberry customers,

We will plan to open Tuesday morning, June 9 at 7 AM for people to come and pick strawberries. We will pick in our jewel and Wendy varieties.

Come early as it is possible we may get picked out before noon.

Always call or check our social media before coming as we post immediately when the field is picked out.

As usual for opening day, the berries that are ripe are not as thick in the field as in midseason, but you will get nice size king berries when you pick.

We will also have Asparagus that morning.

The weather this week is unstable so we will take it one day at a time.

See you on the farm,
Barry and Marybeth

Summer Greetings to our customers!

We have been busy getting ready for another strawberry season and look forward to seeing each of you on the farm again this year.

Opening date: Our opening date will either be June 8 or 9! Check back on Sunday for the latest update. We will be watching the fields and weather to determine our opening day.

Crop conditions: This year, we will be down to about 2 acres of good picking due to the no-snow freeze out of strawberry crowns in the 2024 and 2025 winters. This spring we planted 1.4 acres (10,000 plants) of new strawberries for 2027 picking. So far, this year has been very dry, which brings slightly smaller, but sweeter berries.

Prepicked berries: We are just not able to fill the demand! This year we will not have a method to preorder already picked berries. We are down on acres this year and it is hard to find pickers. We plan to offer pre-picked berries on a first come, first serve basis when we can. We will post our program for prepicks each day of the season.

New this year: We have a new expanded parking lot just south of our house to relieve parking congestion in the yard.

Reminders:
1. Our typical hours are Sunday - Friday 7am-noon. Always check our phone message (507-884-7246), website, or social media before coming as we often close early on days we are picked out! We try to update the messages about a half hour before we are picked out. Also, we are closed some days during the season due to rain or for ripening. We will try to open at least one evening for picking.
2. We provide picking boxes, but you are welcome to bring your own picking containers.
3. Bring water, a hat or sun screen and bug spray. Families are welcome, but we cannot allow pets in the field due to Dept of Health.
4. We will have honey for sale as usual and asparagus for the first week of the season.

We accept cash, check, and credit card.
