Just in case anyone is looking for an excuse to go to Rome….
Beekeepers around the world are being invited to Vatican City this December for a truly historic occasion.
On Friday, 11 December 2026, beekeepers will gather for a special private audience with the Pope.
That's followed on Saturday, 12 December, by a Holy Mass for beekeepers at Borgo Laudato Si'.
The gathering is organized by APIMONDIA International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations, the EBA - European Beekeeping Association, and the Slovenian Beekeepers' Association (ČZS), and brings together beekeepers from different countries, traditions, and organizations in a shared celebration of beekeeping and its role in caring for our planet.
Please only register if you are a beekeeper, a current member of either ABF or EAS, agree to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements, and agree to meet with ABF at the designated meeting spot at least one hour before the scheduled events.
