This weekend we cooked a hometown cook in Anna Illinois! The Anna-Jonesboro Elks Lodge had their 3rd annual rib cook and it was a great time! This was a special day for me as my son Kyson cooked his first ribs up against me! I was hoping he would win it all, but he ended up just behind me in 3rd place. I ended up with 2nd place and we both had some great ribs! This weekend wasn’t about winning it was about watching a 13 yr old kid cook some dang good ribs and gaining memories I will never forget! Kyson is an amazing cook and he continues to impress me everytime he cooks! Kyson has it going on when it comes to steak or ribs he’s definitely not easy to beat! I look forward to the day he beats me in ribs! It’s coming yall just wait!

We got to try out Heath Riles BBQ new burger seasoning and it is for sure a game changer! We tried it on some pork burgers and they came out amazing! We even topped off our mac and cheese with the burger seasoning and it was great! Get yours today straight from his website!

We took the nice short drive over to Chaffee Mo to cook at Smokin on the Rails! We had a great weekend of cooking and hanging out with friends! Next weekend we take a 10min drive to cook some Ribs in Anna IL!

We decided to try our hand in KCBS masters series this weekend at Smoking for the Kids in Troy Illinois. Well we didn’t get the results we hoped for but we did hear our name in ribs with a 9th place. I will say this was a very stacked field of 32 master cooks and I am pleased with my results and I learned a lot! Glad I had Ruthless Boys BBQ helping me out this weekend I sure couldn’t have done it without him! Kyson was my taste tester, bbq hand, and box runner this weekend! He said my ribs were the best I’ve ever made and they did hit so he has a good pallet!

I have to give a big shoutout to my dad Mike Green! He has been working his butt off to make sure we are set up and ready to go in the new trailer! He has spent countless hours making my bbq trailer dreams come true! He recently retired from work but I think he’s been working more than he was before and for sure not in the elements he used to work in! I’m so glad to have a dad who supports my dreams and made them come true! Thank you for all your hard work, it for sure does not go unnoticed! We are headed to Troy Illinois in the morning and we will have that AC blowing when we get settled in for the first time at a comp!
