🌻 **Happy Monday from the farm!** 🌻

Yesterday, I was delighted to realize that my little patch of sunflowers had begun to bloom.

Sunflowers make me smile because they aren’t just another flower in the garden. Memories of planting them with my children and granddaughter bring a little warmth to my heart. I also admire their resilience in the heat of summer. They simply keep growing and blooming where they have been planted.

Perhaps that is part of what I love about them. There is something beautiful about quietly growing where God has placed us, faithfully doing the ordinary things that make up our days.

Our Monday plans include getting a little school planning done, pickling a batch of jalapeños, and taking advantage of the cooler parts of the day whenever we can. 🌶️☀️📚

And for those who have to work in the heat of the day, may the Lord protect and sustain you. **Lord, hear our prayer.** 🙏

May we all have the grace this week to be faithful in the little things, to find joy in our ordinary work, and to trust that God is present right where He has planted us.

What are your Monday plans? 🌻

I walked out the door just a few minutes ago to video a pumpkin patch update. However, with much gratitude, I quickly retreated due to a downpour of rain. I spied several softball sized pumpkins before the rain came down.
If you need bell peppers and jalapenos I have an abundance!! We are still getting a steady supply of fresh eggs.
The tomatoes are unfortunately completely dead. I am learning so much however from research and experience that I am hopeful next year for a more successful crop.

I will not be at The Farmers & Artisans Market of Ripley County this Saturday, August 1, as a cool day entices me to get some much needed work completed in the garden.

The month of August will be full of planting broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, turnips, kale, lettuce, and more.

Once again, I appreciate each and everyone of you and your support of this small business. We are always learning and growing!
