Another item checked off the list. ✅

Today I officially completed my Food Manager Certification, which is required for the type of food we’ll be serving. One more step closer to opening the doors of Claudia’s Deep South Texas Cravings!

The checklist isn’t done yet. Next up is picking up our fire extinguisher and getting our required exit sign. Every day we’re getting closer, one requirement at a time.

I’m not going to lie… after working all day and taking that exam, I’m completely worn out. 😅 My eyes are done for today.

We’ll be taking tonight off to recharge, but we’ll be back tomorrow and ready to keep moving forward. Thank you all for sticking with us and cheering us on through this journey. We’re getting closer! ❤️

A quick business update for everyone who has been following our journey. ❤️
When we first announced our plans, we were hoping to open in June. While we’re not quite there yet, I wanted to keep you all updated because so many of you have supported us, encouraged us, and continue to ask about our opening date.
Last night, we officially completed what has been, by far, the most challenging project we’ve faced so far: installing our hand sink, three-compartment sink, water heater, and plumbing system. It took a lot more time, work, and planning than we ever imagined, but as of last night, everything is installed, connected, and working properly. ✅
With that major milestone finally behind us, we’re moving on to the next item on our checklist and getting one step closer to opening our doors.
I also want to take a moment to thank my husband, Jay. After working a full-time job all day, he continues to spend his evenings helping me bring this dream to life. This isn’t his business—it’s mine—but he has been right beside me through every obstacle, every project, every setback, and every late night. I truly couldn’t have made it this far without him.
One day, when this dream grows into everything I know it can be, I hope I’m able to return the favor and retire him. ❤️
Thank you all for your patience, your support, your shares, your orders, your messages, and your belief in us. We may not be open just yet, but we’re getting closer every single day.
