Let's work together to make sure we all get home safe and sound at the end of the day.

As local farmers hit the fields and roads for harvest, you’ll be seeing more tractors and slow-moving equipment on rural and even main roads. Here’s what you can do to stay safe.

Be patient: Farm equipment is large and often can’t move over quickly.

Pass safely: Only pass when it’s legal and safe. Avoid passing on hills, curves, or where visibility is limited.

Keep a safe distance: Tailgating a tractor won’t make them go faster. It puts everyone at risk.

Watch for turns: Tractors may turn into fields or driveways unexpectedly. Look for signals or slowing.

Slow down: Especially when you see the orange triangle of a slow-moving vehicle.

Farmers work long hours to keep food on our tables. Let’s all do our part to keep the roads safe in Lee County. From all of us, thank you for driving with care and respect this harvest season.
