The Meat Shop Owner, Dave Aldape, along with daughter & son-in-law, Audrey & Tim Crogh, take pride in cutting meat You get back the meat you bring in.

We are a local Idaho family owned and operated business with over 75 years of combined meat cutting experience. Owner, Dave Aldape, along with son-in-law, Tim Crogh, take pride in cutting meat to each customers specifications. Each animal is processed one at a time & meat is never mixed or combined. We also don't limit our customers to bundles, so you get it cut the way you like it. Just bring in your elk, deer, moose, antelope, bear or other wild game meat & we will cut & package it to your specifications. We also make a variety of bulk sausage on-site & can send your meat out to get delicious salami. Our shop is open August thru December & we work late, so when you get off the mountain with your kill, be sure to give us a call!

Sunday 9am to 9pm
Monday 9am to 6pm
Tuesday 9am to 6pm
Wednesday - CLOSED
Thursday 9am to 9pm
Friday 9am to 11pm
Saturday 9am to 11pm

The final day to drop off game for the 2025 season will be Sunday, November 16th. Our final day open will be Sunday, November 23rd. Thanks everyone for another amazing season! We have the best customers...you guys really got'em this year...WOW! Congrats on everyone's success. Hope you all have a wonderful & safe Holiday Season and we'll see ya next fall.

General Seasons are almost here and The Meat Shop is OPEN thru November 23, 2025. It's been a great season so far! We process Wild Game only and all pick-ups and drop-offs are by appointment only. We are open every day except Wednesdays (but we will be open Wednesday October 15th for opening of Elk General season). Thanks for an amazing season everyone! The Meat Shop is officially closing down for the season and no longer taking game in. If we already have your game here, we are finishing up the last few. If you need to pick up, please do so asap so we can turn things off for the year. Thanks again. Hope you all have a healthy happy holiday season and wonderful new year!

Thanks to everyone for your patience and good thoughts as we dealt with some health issues last season. Dave is doing much better and we plan to be back to business as usual this fall. The Meat Shop is closing for this year. Unfortunately, Dave is having some serious health issues and we are unable to continue as things are unknown right now. If you have already dropped off meat for processing, we will get it done in the next few days. We will contact everyone to schedule pick up dates/times. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciate our great customers. Hope to see you next season.
