💧 WHAT'S IN YOUR WATER? | PAYETTE LAKE UPDATE 🌊

The recent herbicide treatment in Payette Lake has raised some important questions about our local water quality.

Approximately 43 acres of the lake were treated to combat invasive Eurasian milfoil. While the herbicide used is approved for aquatic use and initial testing has allowed water-use restrictions to be lifted, there are still environmental effects worth monitoring.

🌿 A few things to know:

- The herbicide is designed to kill invasive aquatic plants but can also affect certain native vegetation.
- As treated plants die and decompose, they can reduce oxygen levels in the water.
- Although the original herbicide breaks down relatively quickly, some breakdown products may remain longer.

State officials plan to conduct additional monitoring to evaluate the treatment's longer-term effects. This is a 5-year treatment plan. Not a one and done.

💙 At Sawtooth Springs, we believe clean water matters. Protecting our lakes, understanding what's in our drinking water and staying informed are important to our entire community.

Know your water. Protect our lakes. Stay hydrated! 💧🏔️

✈️ And Just Like That… He’s Off

You spend 19 years raising them up to leave the nest, and then when they do, it’s a little bittersweet. ❤️

Drake packed up his truck and headed off to aviation school to chase his dream of becoming a pilot. ✈️ Funny how you can be so excited for their next adventure and miss them like crazy at the exact same time.

We are so proud of him and excited to watch him work toward the dream God has placed on his heart, but we’re definitely missing him already.

If you see Russ during deliveries, make sure and give him a BIG hug! Fly high, Drake. ✈️ The sky is the limit!

We love you, and home will always be home.
