We provide the following Draft Horse Opportunities:
Workshops: 2-3 day beginning introduction to the draft horse in harness. Teamster Training: Our Equine Based Farm learning Program is a medium to long term, (1month to complete farm season), for the participant to learn and develop the skills to become a proficient teamster. Includes introduction and learning to use a variety of farm equipment
like plowing, discing, mowing, etc. Private Group Draft Horse Driving Workshops: These individual custom training workshops are designed for individuals or families. The sessions can be focused on specific issues of interest to the group and can involve the trainee’s horses. Examples of these are behavior issues or problems in your horses, specific learning issues, (plowing, driving, etc.), or other subjects of interest. Our farm is set up so we can take in your horses and provide beginning to intermediate training in driving, hitching, and implement use, both alone, as a team, or hitched with our more experienced horses. You can bring your current horse(s) that you are using, or your newly purchased horse(s) for our training.
