πŸ“πŸ“STRAWBERRY SEASON STARTINGπŸ“πŸ“
THURSDAY, JUNE 4th and FRIDAY, JUNE 5th and hopefully on Saturday as well.

8AM TO 1PM or as long as we have ripe berries to pick which may result in earlier closing than 1pm..

πŸ“πŸ‘€πŸ‘‹CASH or CHECK ONLYπŸ‘‹πŸ‘€πŸ“

$2.85 per pound. Berries must be picked in our boxes for weighing purpose. Purchase our boxes or return yours from previous year to reuse.

Come find us in the UPICK fields by following the signs once you arrive at 2751 140th Ave, Dorr.

First picks are always the best and there are a lot to pick!!

We will start with Delights, move into some Jewl, Honeye , Cavendish and Flavorfest. You do not typically have a choice of variety as we pick where they are ripest.

No pre picked berries available at this time and if we do have any, it will be a very limited supply. Sorry.

Early varieties are starting to color up. Keep πŸ‘€ watching for updates. We will likely be opening upick fields sometime in the first week of June.
πŸ“πŸ“πŸ˜’We will have very very few pre picked berries and unsure if any due to our huge upick crowds.

Thousands of newπŸ“πŸ“πŸ“ strawberry plants arrived at our farm today. They traveled from Massachusetts and are currently chilling in our big cooler after traveling a couple days. We plan to get them in the ground within the next ten days. The plants will recieve tender loving care all summer before the produce berries for us next year. Every year we replant 2 to 3 acres of berries to replace older fields.

Fun fact:
The strawberry plant blossoms are cut off of the new plants the first summer of growth. This will be done 2 to 3 times as they are excited to produce berries, but we want big plants forst. This allows the plants to grow into strong strawberry plants that will produce full fields of plants and foliage for a few years to follow.

BRRRRR. It's going to get really cold over night and likely for many hours. Please say some extra prayers for gentle temperatures, farmers out protecting fruit crops all night, and for effective frost protection. This is the reality for all those warm early days we have had this spring.

Spring and warm temperatures have our fruit blossoms popping as another year of production will be here soon. Start looking for strawberry picking around the first of June with these early blossoms and blueberries the first part of July. We will be busy protecting these precious blossoms from chilly nights over the next month. πŸ“πŸ«πŸ“πŸ«

Our family has harvested the final season with Dad and Grandpa by our side. Now its time for him to rest just as the land, trees, bushes and plants rest during this winter season. With assurance we know Dad is alive and well in Jesus' arms just as we know spring and the changing seasons will arrive bringing new growth and promises of new life.

He spent his life tilling the earth, caring for livestock, fishing the waters and hunting the woods. He leaves a legacy of the rewards of hard work and respect to nature.

We shall see his face in every coming season and harvest while striving to carry on what he and his parents started here at the farm. We love what they have lovingly shared with all of us .

We welcome you to celebrate but mourn a man and his quiet life but one that required grit, perseverance, resilliance, hope and a whole bunch of trust and love !
