A very sad day at Brookmeade as we said goodbye to our beloved farm dog Sargent, known as Sarge. Our front door greeter/alarm was a mix of Corgi, Shih Tzu and Border Collie - the Best mutt anyone could have. Really smart dog. Not one to chase a ball but always available for a treat or belly rub. A little bit of a talker this sweet boy would eagerly grab a toy when visitors came to the house. He gently received treats and was loving and friendly to other dogs and humans. He was a character and lived a good long life - spoiled by many. It's a bit quieter around the farm - he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Brookmeade lost one of The Good Guys. Known to us as LP, Lewis McLeod passed away January 31st. A friend to all, he is greatly missed. In honor of LP, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 26th at 2pm at the top of the hill at Brookmeade Sod Farm, 14328 Medley Grove Lane, Doswell. BBQ and drinks provided. Please join us to celebrate LP, bring stories, photos and a side dish to share.
