Love walking out the back door and harvesting food! This is the last of the cucumbers for a while. They will be taken off the site while we succession plant for Fall. The second round of tomatoes went into the ground yesterday, but we do still have plenty growing.

Would you believe that these potatoes were planted late and they still produced about 74 pounds!?! 🎉

Of course some were waterlogged due to the excessive rain, but that’s just more “fuel” in the compost pile. Between these ones and the red potatoes we harvested lasted month from
just one raised bed, we estimate we were right around 86 pounds!

This is the most our small family farm has ever grown. ❤️

Now we can’t wait to see what next year brings when we can actually plant on time.

Our farm is surrounded by trees, but there is no tree cover. So since heat stress can mean less eggs for us, something had to be done!
