As an American living in Germany (for 27 years), I developed a very specific taste for German bakery products. The Great taste of natural ingredients coupled with the daily fresh products changed the way that I prefer cakes to be made. After a while, I became so used to my German wife’s home baking that I would join her in creating special traditional German cakes. It was great fun to invite Germa
n friends over on the weekends to enjoy some of their traditional bakery products. After arriving in America two years ago, my wife continued to make traditional German cakes and rolls and inviting friends over on the weekends. It was great to see the same expression of surprise when an American would taste a cake made from a recipe that was over two hundred or more years old. The taster’s enjoyment was the same as the experience that I had so many years ago in Germany. And because we were in Germany so long, we had a large amount of recipes to choose from. Our friends continually asked us if we would sell them some cakes. My wife produced a few cakes for our friends and they told their friends…. Now we have a good amount of interested customers that like and want our cakes. That is when we got the idea to found a bakery in the Dothan area and offer German cakes to all of those who are interested in something different and delicious. At the moment, we can only produce those cakes that do not use heavy cream fillings due to our limited baking environment. We hope to have an industrial kitchen set up to produce the entirety of our offerings soon. Please see our menus for products available.
