I swear these are what our chickens are doing with our backs to them! Every other day or so there's a couple coal nuggets in the yard. 🤣

Garlic processing day! 🧄

We harvested around 100 bulbs of garlic this year and we are excited about it! 🥰

We tried three varieties this year: Music, German, and Chesnok Red. The Chesnok Red performed the best for us, so we already know what we’ll be planting next year! 👏🏻

Since it’s basically a sauna from hell outside today, Dave and I decided to stay inside and process garlic. 🥵

We peeled, minced and portioned into silicone trays, and a bag for the freezer.

Now I’ll have easy access to pre portioned minced garlic for cooking all year long.

As we wrap up the 250th celebration of independence. Let's be thankful to be apart of the American experiment we contribute in. In 250 years we achieved more inviduals freedoms, economic privileges and boundless opportunities no other civilization has ever had before. We continue to be the beacon of hope, freedom and the persuit of happiness in the free world. Bless the USA and happy 4th!

We have found a great prospective location for the Douglas Farmer's Market 2026!

The committee does need an idea of how many vendors we have who are interested in participating this year on a regular schedule.

The market will take place on Saturday mornings, 8:30am-11am. Most likely starting in mid July/early August running through early October.

Once we know how many vendors are interested we can begin the final details with the town and get this back up and running!
