🔥 Help us congratulate Rae Barker of Future of Q! 🔥

Rae is headed to Indianapolis to compete in the **Firewoman Challenge at the World Food Championships**, where she’ll cook alongside talented women from around the world.

We’re proud to see Rae take her passion for live-fire cooking to this stage. Join us in cheering her on! 👏🔥

Parent Post:
It started with a little pit, a pork chop, and a little girl who simply loved to cook over fire at 5 years old. 🔥

At the time, none of us could have known where that first pork chop would lead.

Competition after competition, lesson after lesson, Rae has grown up around the fire. And now we’re watching her step into a completely new season…. not just as the little girl behind the pit, but as a young woman finding her place, her voice, and her confidence in this industry. 🥹🤍

And really… what better way to celebrate nearly a decade of open-fire life? Rae will be turning 15 at the end of October, but before that, she’ll head to Indianapolis to step onto the Fire Woman Challenge stage at the World Food Championships. 🔥

She is incredibly honored to have the opportunity to compete alongside talented women from around the world!
Women she can learn from, be challenged by, and grow alongside. 🌎🤍

There’s something pretty special about watching the little girl who started with a pork chop now step forward as a young woman into a space filled with powerful women who share that same love for fire.

And through every season of this journey, one verse continues to mean so much to her:

“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
— Psalm 34:8 🤍

🔥 LIMITED SPONSORSHIP SPOTS AVAILABLE 🔥

As Rae heads to Indy, we’re opening a limited number of opportunities for businesses and brands who would like to come alongside her and be part of this next chapter.

If you’d like to learn more about sponsorship options, partnership opportunities, and ways your business can be represented throughout the journey, send us a direct message. We’d love to connect with you. 🤍

From a little pit and a pork chop… to nearly a decade over open fire, turning 15, and stepping onto the Fire Woman stage.

What a way to celebrate this next chapter. 🔥🥹🏆

She's 13 years old... and teaching lessons some pitmasters still need to hear. 🔥

J.C. Blurton, BBQBugsy, made history at Memphis in May, and her competition rib process was featured in the July issue of Barbecue News as part of the Future of Q series.

This isn't a kid's version of barbecue.

She's talking competition-level trimming, seasoning, spritzing, wrapping, glazing, and learning tenderness by feel—not by a probe.

But the biggest takeaway wasn't about ribs.

It was about consistency. Attention to detail. Trusting your process.

That's a lesson every pitmaster can learn from. Read more in July's BBQ news magazine: https://online.flipbuilder.com/zgvv/vanl/.
