Purchased in January 2016, Douglas Orchard, renamed Douglas Orchard & Farm was originally settled by the Nipmuc Indians and farmed since the 1700's with cattle grazing and alfalfa. planted and cultivated 2 acres of apple trees and one acre of blueberry bushes. Unfortunately the orchard was neglected for over five years and over run by bittersweet. The 17 acres of land was slated for development. T

he farm was just the thing that Nick Socrat, farmer and graduate from UMass Amherst in Sustainable Agriculture and Farming was looking for. His interest in organic farming practices and permaculture with a diverse farm has begun. Our gardens will provide many different herbs, vegetables and flowers. Farmer Nick has a NO spray philosophy for all his vegetables. The blueberries are sprayed with organic oils prior to bud emersion. The apple trees are sprayed with
nonrestricted fungicide and pesticides unlike most orchards that use restricted sprays. Organic chicken and duck eggs are available all year round along with our own raw honey and pork. PYO blueberries be available mid July. Shiitake mushrooms also available. The Country Store is open year round. Check facebook or web site for hours. We encourage the community to visit the farm to see the workings of the farm. Farm tours available. The farm's Pavilion is a great venue for weddings or any other private event. Come hang out at the farm. Visit our farm animals, picnic and play some corn hole! Yearly Summer outdoor concert series at the Pavilion June through August!

🌱 Garlic Scapes Have Arrived! 🌱

Have you ever tried garlic scapes? These curly green shoots are the flower stalks of garlic plants, harvested before the plant blooms. They have a mild, fresh garlic flavor and are delicious grilled, sautéed, roasted, chopped into salads, added to stir-fries, or blended into a flavorful pesto!

Best of all, our garlic scapes are no-spray, grown naturally right here on the farm. Quantities are limited, so be sure to grab some while they last!

We’re open Saturday & Sunday, June 20 & 21, from 10 AM–4 PM.

🎶 And don’t forget—this Saturday evening is Little Lies, an amazing Fleetwood Mac tribute band! Our outdoor concert runs from 5:30 PM–8 PM in the apple orchard. This show is sure to draw a crowd, so come early, bring your chairs, and enjoy a beautiful summer evening on the farm.

🎶 What a fantastic way to kick off our 2026 Summer Concert Series! 🎶

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night and made our first concert of the season such a success! Petty Larceny was absolutely on fire, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying great music, beautiful weather, delicious food, and a fun evening on the farm.

Special thanks to Petty Larceny Band for an amazing performance and to Brickstone Kitchen for serving up their always-delicious food!

Now get ready for next weekend, June 20, when Little Lies, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, takes the stage from 5:30 PM–8:00 PM. It’s going to be another great night of music under the open sky!

The farm is open today, Sunday, June 14, from 10 AM–4 PM. Stop by to stroll around the farm, visit the animals, meet our adorable new piglets, and browse the country store featuring products from over 30 local vendors.

What a fantastic turnout for our first concert of the 2026 Summer Concert Series! 🎶☀️

We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather as everyone relaxes under blue skies, enjoys the great music of Petty Larceny Band and the delicious food from Brickstone Kitchen. It’s wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying a beautiful evening at the farm!

During the break, be sure to visit our farm animals and stop by our Country Store, featuring products from more than 30 local vendors. From homemade treats and local crafts to unique gifts and farm favorites, there’s something for everyone.

A fun-filled weekend is waiting at the farm! 🐷🎶

Our 2026 Summer Concert Series kicks off Saturday, June 13, from 5:30–8:00 PM with Petty Larceny playing your favorite Tom Petty hits! Admission is $20 cash, and kids 15 and under are free. Bring your chairs and enjoy great music, delicious food from Brickstone Kitchen, and a relaxing summer evening.

Our six adorable piglets have arrived and are ready to meet everyone! Stop by to watch them play and nap together—they’re already stealing hearts.

Don’t miss our Country Store, featuring beautiful stained glass garden art from Busy Bee Crafts, cute crocheted creations from Benoit Busy Bee, and lots of sweet treats. While there are no donuts this weekend, we’ll still have Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter at Barrett's Farm gluten-free cookies, snack mix, novelty ice creams, honey sticks, and honey-filled candy.

This Saturday, June 13 kicks off our 2026 summer concert series with Petty Larceny Band. A fantastic band and a great venue. There is the last week to purchase a season pass for only $100/ person for all nine concerts. Call 508–864-2878 and we will call you back to purchase your pass over the phone. If you don’t have a season pass tickets are $20 cash at the door per person. Brickstone Kitchen will be serving up their delicious food. We are so excited to get the season rolling. Concert is 5:30-8pm.

Our newest little farm friends just arrived today, Sunday, June 7, and they can’t wait to meet everyone!

Come visit these adorable piglets and all of our farm animals until 4:00 PM today.

🍌 And there’s more good news… banana donuts are still being made while supplies last! They’re going bananas almost as fast as the piglets are making new fans.
