One of our born and raised bulls, "Hagrid" has left for some new ladies at a new pasture. We're excited to see his babies next year.

One of my favorite parts starting colts is getting them out of the arena and in the wide open.

Around ride 15 or so today with Mr. Leo. We really like him! Jacob Stebbins and I have him for another month before he heads home.

It's nice having someone else helping with the forward while you can just ride. Leo's 2nd ride.

This is Leo, a 4 year old gelding we have been working with. The heat lately has almost been unbearable but we are trudging along. I'm thankful that I have a husband that also trains so we can tag team it when one of us needs a little break from the heat. We have been working on multiple things with Leo. We are now riding but wanted to share a short clip on desensitizing him to the rope on both sides while he's in forward motion. I hope to create a short video soon. Happy Sunday!

What horse started it all or that helped you become the horseman you are today?

Mine was Allie (APHA:Termite Mound) a 6 year old mare and boy was she everything. If I could get a two year old like her, I'd be swimming in gold.

I bought her in Oklahoma when we were checking out another horse but she came down the alleyway and would follow us everywhere. So, I asked about her and he said, "yeah, jump on her and try her out. She hasn't been ridden in probably a year but my grandma would use her to check cows." She rode like a dream and we offered everything we had in our pocket and thankfully he said, yes because I honestly have no clue where I'd be at today if I didn't buy her that day. She helped me gain my confidence in a grand scale...I could do anything off of her! From riding brideless, roping and sorting cows, obstacles, to starting colts...she was a gem. ❤️🐎

Buck has been here for close to two weeks and is really learning to relax more and not be so anxious about things.
