Guys! These are some of my favorite potatoes I've ever made in my life! I need to share this recipe with my Chubb rocks! This is a really simple and easy, but delicious au gratin potato dish. First, either grab a cast iron skillet or any type of Pyrex baking pan. What you want to do next is grab 5 lb of potatoes. Preferably red. Slice them down then and then rinse them off three or four times. You do not want any extra starch in this dish because it is extremely heavy as is. As your potatoes are soaking, you are going to want to build the Rosemary thyme cheese sauce. After your cheese sauce is fully Incorporated, place your potatoes in a circular pattern shingled on top of each other. From there, pour this delicious cheese sauce on top of the potatoes. From there to finish it off, take a full cup of smoked gouda shredded and place it on top of all these delicious potatoes. But what was the exact recipe. I highly recommend this to anyone as it is simple and absolutely delicious.
5 lb red potatoes, medium slice
One pint heavy cream, half a cup of butter, 3 tbsp. Of freshly minced garlic, 2 tbsp of Rosemary, 2 tbsp of thyme, 1/2 cup of Parmesan grated, salt and pepper to taste, 1/2 cup of Swiss cheese shredded Cheddar , quarter cup of smoked mozzarella. 1 cup of smoked gouda shredded on top of potatoes
Place butter and pan until melted, from there, add your garlic, rosemary and thyme and saute for about 3 minutes, add the heavy cream and begin to stir lightly from the bottom to prevent scorching. Begin adding your Parmesan cheese slowly and incorporating it into your sauce. Once you've added all the parmesan, begin adding the other shredded cheeses. Stir until extremely thick and creamy. Add the potatoes into your pan and layer them and top with this delicious cream sauce. I promise you you will love this.
