IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING MY FARM STAND

Unfortunately, I have video evidence showing an individual repeatedly taking items from my farm stand without paying. Based on my records, I estimate that approximately $149 worth of merchandise has been taken over the last few days. She has taken almost all my garlic and jalapeños, along with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers.

I will be going to the police department tomorrow to provide the video evidence and make a report.

I take a lot of pride in running this stand and operating it on trust, so this is extremely disappointing. I may also share photos or video of the individual as appropriate after speaking with law enforcement.

If you are the person involved, I strongly encourage you to contact me and make this right before I proceed further.

Nothing beats the taste of food you grew yourself. Our onions are coming in huge this year, and the rest of the harvest is just as good! What's your go-to summer recipe?

Vegetables are finally ripening. I have gotten a small handful of large tomatoes and a least a pint of cherry so far. Harvest 7 zucchini, 5 summer squash, and 8 cucumbers all within a 2 day period! Potatoes will be ready and onions very soon.

Farm stand is painted and will be back down by the road soon enough!

Gardening at its finest

What an amazing week for working in the garden! The dogs helped me yesterday too. I was able to finally get a hose to my garden so this year is looking very promising for plants.

Guinea Hens should be arriving this week to help with tick control again. So far this year we have so many less ticks it’s been great. The 50 we had last year really helped take care of the issues we had. The next batch of 50 should be here Friday!

If you have never tried eating guinea hen I strong recommend you do! They are around 4lbs and the taste is like a deep flavored chicken dish. They are delicious and have dark meat on their legs.
