🫶 Everyday on the Farm is packed full of things to do, but Saturdays, Saturdays are some of the busiest!
📋 Herd health checks were on the agenda today! We like to put the cows through the chute, look them over, put some fly and tick spray on (tis the season) and then we give them a vaccine to prevent Pinkeye and foot rot. Both things that are very painful to cows and we try to prevent each season. Our goal is to prevent so we don't have to treat.
We also weaned the first few calves of the year since they were getting huge! I will do an update on them another day. But Moose, Kool, Winston, Twila, and Crockett are now at weaning camp.
We are finishing the day, right around 9pm round baling some hay and probably won't make it into the house until 10pm. But I'll tell you what, we will all sleep good tonight 😴
