Five Groomsmen. Five Jobs. One Smooth Wedding Day. 😎🍻

Being a groomsman isn’t just about wearing a tux and looking good in pictures. Every guy has a job! Here are 5 groomsmen duties that can keep the groom relaxed and the day running smoothly:

1️⃣ The Best Man — The Right-Hand Man
He’s got the rings and vows, but his biggest job is keeping the groom calm. Talking him down off the ledge, standing beside him, and making sure he knows he’s got support. He also oversees the other groomsmen and makes sure everyone does their part.

2️⃣ The Enforcer — The Get-It-Done Guy
His job? Keep everyone on time and make sure nothing gets forgotten. He keeps the groom looking sharp, handles the little emergencies, and is the go-to guy throughout the day.

3️⃣ The Feeder — Keep Him Fed & Hydrated 🍕🥤
He keeps the food and drinks flowing—but he also keeps an eye on the groom so he doesn’t drink too much before the ceremony! A hungry or overly tipsy groom is nobody’s idea of a good plan. 😂

4️⃣ The Documenter & Organizer — The Behind-the-Scenes Guy 📸
He’s responsible for getting those fun behind-the-scenes pics and content, while also keeping things organized and tidy. And when the night is over, he’s the one helping pack everything up and make sure nothing gets left behind.

5️⃣ The Vibe Keeper — The Hype Man 🕺
He keeps the energy up, pumps up the groom, handles the guests, and plays referee if needed. He’s the outgoing one who gets everyone having fun, is first on the dance floor—and last to leave it!

The best groomsmen aren’t just standing beside the groom. They’re helping make sure he actually enjoys his wedding day. 👊

The bridal party is there to support the bride and make the day enjoyable and stress free. Don’t be afraid to assign specific duties to each one. Give them jobs that fit their personalities and they are happy to help. Here’s a sample. Feel free to mix them up and add your own.

👰 Maid of Honor

* Be the bride’s protector
* Rescue her from over talkative guests
* Be the time keeper of the timeline
* Help her get dressed and stay calm
* Check everything…no bra straps showing, no lipstick on teeth
* Hold her bouquet during the ceremony
* Be in charge of the dress bustle and dress fluffing

💕 Bridesmaid #1

* Help with hair, makeup, dress, and accessories
* Keep the bridal suite organized
* Be the runner…for lunch, forgotten or needed items
* Make sure the bride has water and snacks
* Takes leftover food, cake and alcohol at the end of the night

💍 Bridesmaid #2 — Important details

* Keep the marriage license safe
* Make a details box for the photographer with rings, invitation, perfume, jewelry, shoes, veil…
* Help gather personal items before leaving the bridal suite
* Collect cards and gifts and keep them safe

📸 Bridesmaid #3 — Photos & People

* Help round up family and wedding-party members for pictures
* Keep everyone moving on schedule
* Help the photographer locate anyone who is missing
* Be the vendor contact person- pass out tip envelopes

🎉 Bridesmaid #4 — Cheer person

* Keep the dance floor hopping
* Keep everyone positive and in a good mood
* Don’t let anyone upset the bride
* Help guests find their seats or answer questions
* Help with favors, guest book, or special reception activities

1. Elaborate favors…
They are usually forgotten or left behind. Keep it simple. An edible treat is always a hit.
2. Over the top bar…
Your guests care far more about a well run bar, than crazy boogie concoctions.
3. Chair covers and bows…
Just have nice chairs instead of paying to covering up ugly ones.
4. Programs…
A good DJ, coordinator and officiant make the timeline run smoothly.
5. Over-the-top décor…
When the space is already beautiful, less is truly more. Add your touches and let the venue shine.

It’s a simple little task that can save a LOT of time on your wedding day—and gives your photographer everything they need to capture those beautiful little details! ✨
