This came up in memories on my personal page. This was the mud that was on our property at one time. You can't even see the girls' feet or ankles! It took a tractor (thanks Jody) digging down and many cubic yards of stone to create drainage and a workable area. No more areas like this, although...that might make Aimee a little sad. She loved the mud.

It is hot out there! My chickens are not enjoying the coop tonight. I left it open as long as I could and will open it up again tomorrow just to try to keep the air moving. They have a fan but it’s just blowing hot air. Quail seem unbothered and the rabbits can dig down and stretch out in the shade. Everyone has plenty of water and will be happy when the heat wave subsides.

Rico is not sad I’ve accidentally knocked 2 eggs off the counter today.

Humidity hair is unreal. If you are wondering why I don’t just use a piece of wood in that corner, it’s because of the curved side of the cattle panel. I would end up having an unsafe gap.
