Pretty girl Fiona out riding today. Can’t decide to keep her for everyone to use or not. Maybe if the right home comes I’d let her go, but so far we are loving her being here šŸ¤Ž

Fiona is a draft cross mare that is safe for all. This sweet girl will be used as a lesson/trail horse until she finds a new home to love her. She’s really cool and such a sweet big gal šŸ¤Ž

This sweet filly found herself a good home with a teenage girl excited to work with her and make her into a jumping project! I am so pleased with the home she went to! Excited for the updates.

In the week we had her, yes only a week, she went fast! We got her halter broke, leading good, getting easy to catch, learning people aren’t so bad and even had her trotting behind the gator. She was so smart but man was she also one of the more stubborn babies I’ve worked with so far. Just grateful we got her going enough for her to be able to find a good home ā™„ļø

Really rough morning with the new filly Twister. I had to literally rope her to get her caught. She also does NOT like going in her stall. Guessing this is her first time being stalled. It was such a hard time. I felt completely defeated. However, I knew it wasn’t her fault and to keep at it. By the end of the day she was greeting me when I went in her stall and even put her head over the stall for waylen to pet her. Such progress. She will definitely be a very rewarding one once she’s going šŸ™šŸ¼

Didn’t plan to share this but decided for education purposes it was worth the post.

This is my senior gelding. He’s 23. I have been battling keeping weight on him for the last year and a half.

I’ve fed him good feed, switched to multiple feeds to try and fatten him up again. Have done multiple weight supplements. Keep hay in front of him at all times and yet he still looked poor.

I told maybe ā€œit’s his age. He’s just a hard keeper.ā€ But I always knew it had to be something more. Just two summers ago he was fat and looked great.

I’ve had his teeth done once a year for years now. So it wasn’t his teeth.

I’ve wormed him with different wormers but only one dose every couple months and I knew what needed done. It’s something I had just learned about a few years ago and I truly believe a lot of people still don’t know about.

Powerpac worming.

In the back of my head I knew he needed this but I’d tell myself ā€œno it’s just his ageā€ ā€œthe other wormers aren’t even working so can’t be thatā€. But those were just excuses to myself. Maybe because the powerpac really isn’t ā€œcheapā€ for me to buy for a ā€œpasture petā€. I’m not really sure why I never truly just bit the bullet and tried it.

But finally I did. He got his first dose June 14th, and after 3 tubes (he hadn’t got the 4th dose yet when I took these pictures) today on June 17th there is a SIGNIFICANT difference.

This is your sign to powerpac if you have a horse having a hard time keeping weight and you just don’t understand why.

I switched feeds, I feed him twice a day at 2.5 lbs each am and pm. He gets a round bale in front of him all day and flakes in his stall at night. There was NO reason for the weight drop… except bad worms that regular wormer couldn’t get.

At the end of the day, it’s 100% worth the money and worth doing. This results speak volumes.

To be fair, I had thought he had had one tighten before or I wouldn’t have done this in a stall šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜‚

The new project here at R&B acres šŸ’ƒšŸ» she is so pretty. Definitely needs work and is unsure of people. Cannot wait to see what a few weeks of working with her gets us. She does need a name so put what you think she looks like below!

Helping a man rehome this 2025 c**t! I will be getting him in soon and starting the ground work, get him before the price goes up. Asking only $1600. Said to be out of cow bred stock but not registered. Is built like a cow horse, that’s for sure. This picture does not do him justice. I will get good ones once he’s at my place!
