Oh mysterious Dunkel, how we love you. In America, you are largely forgotten. But to be forgotten, suggests you once were. Save a small group of informed individuals, we’re not certain you ever were. But damnit if we aren’t committed to helping grow awareness of this too often overlooked style.

All kidding aside, this b**r deserves more fandom than it has. It is the perfect confluence of an approachable and refreshing German l***r, with a gentle kiss of more complex malt flavor. Hints of chocolate, biscuit, and complementary hop-derived herbal flavor make this a hard l***r to top around this time of year. Its dark appearance may deter, but do not judge a book by its cover. It is neither heavy, nor too strong, nor too roasty. It is the antithesis of “too much” of anything, rather the epitome of just the right amount of everything you’d want in a dark l***r.
