We have lots of people ask, ”how much meat do I get from a half or a 1/4 share of beef?” Well it depends on the cuts you want and how thick you would like your steaks. This is what a half share of 2inch thick steaks looks like. This is 221lbs of tasty beef! The following is the breakdown of what this customer received:

93lbs of hamburger
10- 1 inch sirloins
9- 2 inch thick ribeyes
8- Ny strips 2 inch thick
5 - 2 inch thick filets
10 -round steaks (1 inch thick)
8 - chuck roast
3 - rump roast
1- 6 lb round tip roast
6- shoulder roast
1- skirt steak
1 -flank steak
1- 1/2 brisket at 9lbs

For a 1/4 share just cut the amount in half.

We had a fun evening rotating some of our herd to a different pasture, they are loving the sunshine and lots of grass! We were even able to get the whole family involved!
