On the heels of the runaway success of Little Disco Cabernet the Pangea team went back to the drawing board to solve another on going ask across the Texas market. Alongside one of our favorite winemakers in California we nailed down some incredible fruit for this release!

Glassable domestic Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast aiming for varietal and regional recognition while still maintaining the ethos of Pangea Selections, organically farmed, made with native yeast, minimal intervention in the cellar. Crafted with conscience and serious groove. Little Disco is ready to turn up the volume on your BTG list, wine clubs, and more.

We will keep the Disco going all year long!

7 years ago, Pangea was just me, selling and delivering wine myself out of a makeshift storage space.

Since then, it’s grown into something far more meaningful, built by an incredible community of people.

Along the way, we’ve found our identity: championing artisan producers, building real relationships, and creating space for both rigor and play.

We spent the last few months creating a visual language inspired by Mediterranean storefronts from our travels and grounded in bold, organic tones.

Same values, but a more clear expression.

Beyond just a visual identity, you’ll see a more refined approach across the board: from enhanced technical materials and supplier storytelling to a refreshed website and more thoughtful digital content.

Whether you’ve been with us since day one, or are just getting to know us,we’re excited to share this next chapter of Pangea with you. It’s a more clear expression of who we are and the role we strove to play in the wine world.

Cheers,
Grant and the Pangea team

We are beyond proud to announce that Pangea Selections now represents in the state of Texas!

The Momtazi family has played a part in my own journey in the wine world for the past 17 plus years and it is a true privilege to represent them.

If you are unfamiliar with these titans of the Oregon wine industry see the brief primer below. The wines will land mid-April, be sure to reach out to your Account Manager to schedule a tasting or to place your orders!

Started in 1997 was the vision of Moe and Flora Momtazi. Post an escape from post revolutionary Iran they purchased a 532 acre abandoned wheat farm with the foresight that the fallow land would become one of the most important vineyards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Organic farming from the inception and certified Biodynamic in 2007, a holistic approach to farming has been at the center of the viticulture since day one. Planting began in 1998 with 13 acres of own rooted Pinot noir and has grown over the years to now include 342 acres under vine with the rest left to old growth Oregon oak, animal pasture and herbal gardens for biodynamic treatments.

Winemaking is led by their eldest daughter Tahmiene, who when she took over the reins in 2007 was the youngest female winemaker in the US. Today she crafts wines built to last that pay homage to the power and finesse of the estate.

It’s a full family affair with Naseem the middle daughter leading national sales and Hanna the youngest leading event planning and hospitality at the 40,000 square foot estate.

Welcome to the Pangea Portfolio Maysara Winery!

🌼Your Spring/Summer BTG Bordeaux has landed🍷

Le Bordeaux Du Paysan

Bordeaux du Paysan is a collaborative natural wine project between Nicolas Roux (Château Coulonge) and Olivier Techer (Château Gombaude-Guillot -pictured above). The partnership combines Roux’s multi-generational vineyard holdings with Techer’s low-intervention winemaking expertise to produce a modern, chemical-free expression of Bordeaux terroir.
The estate’s vineyards are situated in the south-eastern sector of Bordeaux, positioned between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. These lands have been in the Roux family since 1804 and are characterized by clay and limestone soils. Nicolas Roux transitioned the estate away from synthetic inputs in 2015, managing the vines entirely without pesticides or herbicides to prioritize soil health and fruit purity.
The winemaking is directed by Olivier Techer, a sixth-generation vintner whose family has owned and operated Château Gombaude-Guillot in Pomerol since 1860. Bringing the technical rigor of his family’s Right Bank estate to this project, Techer focuses on transparent, “paysan” (peasant) style vinification. The resulting wines emphasize drinkability and site-specific character, bridging the gap between traditional Bordeaux viticulture and contemporary natural winemaking.

In the heart of Abruzzo, nestled between the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountains with the cooling breezes of the Adriatic billowing through the town of Pietranico. Agricola Caprera was born from a vision of ecological harmony. Founded in 2012 by Luca Paolo Virgilio and Alfonso, the estate isn’t just a winery; it’s a 22-hectare “agricultural organism” designed to thrive as a self-sustaining ecosystem of vineyards, olive groves, cereals, and wild woodland.

The story began in Pietranico, a location steeped in ancient history where prehistoric rock basins, or vasche, are still carved into the landscape, reminders of a winemaking tradition that predates modern memory. After acquiring the land in 2012, the team spent two years preparing the soil and restoring the biodiversity of the site before planting their first hectares of Montepulciano and Trebbiano in 2014, with cuttings obtained from the vineyards of Emidio Pepe.

At an elevation of 400 meters, the vines dig into a complex mix of limestone, blue clay, and marl. This unique soil composition, combined with a windswept climate, allows Caprera to produce wines with a signature freshness and structural elegance, often denser and more round than expected given that the estate forgoes the use of new wood in aging.

In the cellar, the philosophy is one of radical transparency and minimal intervention. Since their first official vintage in 2018, Agricola Caprera has focused on natural winemaking: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts and a refusal to filter. The result is a collection of wines that are pure, unadorned reflections of their piece of wild Abruzzese landscape.

Join us this Saturday, March 7th, from 5 PM ‘til late for a truly special evening featuring the legendary wines of Tenuta di Valgiano. We are honored to welcome Laura di Collobiano from the estate, who will be joining us in the dining room to pour and talk through these incredible bottles table-side.

We’re digging deep into the cellar to showcase back vintage wines from the estate. This is a rare opportunity to taste the evolution from one of Tuscany’s most respected biodynamic producers.

The Story of Tenuta di Valgiano:
Located in the hills above Lucca, this 16th-century estate was a run-down vineyard when Laura and her partner Moreno Petrini discovered it in the early 1990s. Laura has been the driving force behind the estate’s high-level viticulture, implementing full biodynamic practices since 2001 to create wines with remarkable depth and elegance. Today, she is recognized as a leader in the biodynamic wine movement, helping define the modern era of the Colline Lucchesi region.

Come for the vintage pours, stay for the old-school Italian vibes and stories from Laura herself. 🍝✨

What an immense pleasure after ten plus years of being in the orbit of Laura di Collobiano, the figurehead and winemaker of Tenuta Di Valgiano it is to announce that Pangea Selections now represents these singular wines in the state.

Started in 1993 by Laura Di Collobiano and husband Moreno Petrini in the northern hills of Tuscany just outside of the town of Lucca squeezed between the Apennine mountain range and the Tyrrhenian coast. The estate is a stones throw from Moreno’s childhood home in the village. Influenced deeply by Australian biodynamic pioneer Alex Podolinsky, the estate adopted organic and biodynamic farming early in its revitalization achieving biodynamic certification by 2002.

Over the years they have lead a lions share of the region to follow suit, Colline Lucchesi DOC has the highest concentration of biodynamic producers inside a DOC in all of Italy.  A testament to the charm and dynamic nature of the wines and Laura herself.

The long term commitment to the land at Valgiano has built these wines into things of true beauty not to be missed. 55 Hectares in total 300 meters above sea level with 16 under vine, 13 committed to olives and honeybees and the remaining to pasture and a fully restored 16th century estate.

Very soon you’ll have a chance to meet Laura here in Texas. She will be joining us for in Austin on 03/04, followed with Market work in Austin on 03/05, topped off with a Takeover that evening (featuring back vintage wines and large formats offerings). She will be making her way to the Houston market on 03/06. Reach out to your Account Manager to schedule a visit or join us at Slow Wine Austin to taste through the line up!

It’s an awkward time to be an American in Europe, trying to explain the unexplainable. Trying to say this isn’t who we are as a country, even though our country elected this government doubling down on violence.

Wine has always been political. Hospitality and agriculture are made richer by immigrants, by connection, by community.

Our government’s violence against its own citizens is reprehensible. Fear is not policy. Lies are not leadership.

F**k ICE.
