October came and went and we’re still standing — blessed be the bloom.

Wedding bouquets; pop-ups at .durham & , where hometown friends and new faces stopped by; arrangements for a fundraiser supporting Justice Anita Earls at ; bud vases for grand openings (thanks, ); flower crowns for ; our wonderful CSA subscribers; and more. Truly grateful for everyone who shows up and supports us.

Just a couple more weeks (we hope) left in the growing season, but we’re excited for what’s ahead in the coming weeks and months.

This dude, , turned 40 this past weekend, which means he’s officially joined the 40 Club—eight months after me and Meghan, his wife, who's also my long-time friend. But if you asked Steven, though, he’d make it seem as if he’s 10 years our junior.

Over the years, Steven and I have gotten to share a lot: college shenanigans; regrettable Halloween costumes; pain and loss; mini-vacations with friends; business brainstorms while hauling flowers; and conversations that span from the state of the world to whose harvesting what row of flowers that day. Somehow, even while I’m rambling and multitasking, it all feels like exactly what it should: good work with good people.

[But also, FYI, Steven be talking a lot, too, even though I’m known as the talker.]

Steven’s a wonderful husband to Meghan; an amazing dad to Trey and James; and an excellent co-owner/partner-in-crime at Mae Flowers Farm. The world is better with him in it, as friends and strangers can tell you.

Here’s to more years of flowers, back stretches that may or may not help, and good people making for a better, more flourishing life.

Happy 40th!

May your weekend 🐝 as restful — or adventurous — as our lil’ farm tenants. But whatever you do, 🐝 careful in these streets.

(And are we officially at dad joke age? Asking for the dad on the farm, .)

We’re popping back up at .durham this Saturday, 10/18, from 9 AM–12 PM — with fall blooms bright enough to rival our NC fall leaves. Think marigolds, sunflowers, zinnias, eucalyptus, and more.

We’ll also have fresh marigold bunches for those celebrating Diwali on October 20th.

Hope to see you on Saturday!

Our last CSA subscription of the season kicked off last week, and there’s still plenty of magic in the stems.

Bud vases around town, bouquets on order, and a few pop-ups and more are still coming your way — don’t blink, or you’ll miss the final petals.

Never know what treasures you’ll stumble across on Facebook Marketplace — or, in this case, someone’s shed in rural NC.

This “vintage” Daily Tar Heel box (early 2000s counts, right?) has found a new home on the farm thanks to two these proud Carolina grads.

Bonus: it still had a paper inside from October 2009.
