In this episode of movers is trash…
Elise Dunzo and I were hoping they would do right by their customers but I guess they figure they’re big enough to be able to basically say F U and not worry about the impact on their image.
Their follow up to the claim we submitted was to offer us $300 for breaking an armoire (and trying to cover it up), a desk, a bookcase, and other incidental items. In exchange for this $300 they wanted us to sign a form to agree to not “disparage” them on social media. Well good sir, you can keep your money because we’re about to disparage the hell out of you.
The first red flag for us should have been them calling the night before and telling us they might not have a truck big enough so they might have to do two trips. “So does that mean double the cost? 🤔
Then when they showed up with two trucks I’m thinking ok, they’ll knock this out in no time. 8 hours later…
After all that time you would think everything would be set up perfectly. Nope. The bed wasn’t put back together. They left the dresser in the dining room floor. They had thrown stuff from drawers in random boxes.
And on top of all this they inflated the cost with a supply fee that’s as much as a day at Disney for a family of hour!Plus a travel fee for a twenty minute drive. 🙄
I don’t know what makes us more angry the unprofessionalism of the movers or the indifferent look my attitude of the management.
It’s hard to not let this frustration overshadow the blessing of a new home.
But if we can spare one person the headache that is All My Sons Moving then it’s worth it.
Best believe this ain’t over though. We’re about to be on some Erin Brockovich over here! ✊🏽
