Grizz taking y’all on a deep dive into today’s Good Earth bourbon dump. 🥃

That char floating around? Think of it as the pulp in orange juice. The charred oak is essential to giving bourbon its color and a big part of its flavor. The loose stuff comes along for the ride when we dump the barrel, then gets filtered out before bottling.

Alligator season is part of life in South Louisiana. We’ve been running lines, working the marsh and catching gators long before we ever fired up a still.

That same connection to this land is at the heart of Bayou Terrebonne Distillers. We make our spirits here at home, from Louisiana-grown corn and sugar, carrying forward the traditions and self-reliance we were raised with.

It’s official: Bayou Terrebonne Distillers is now licensed to self-distribute our products.

This is a big step for our distillery and one that will allow us to work directly with bars, restaurants, package stores and retailers across Louisiana. We’ll be able to serve our customers better, respond faster and take a more hands-on role in getting our spirits where they need to go.

We’ve never shied away from doing things ourselves. It’s in our blood. From grain to bottle and now from our doors to yours, we’re excited about this next evolution of Bayou Terrebonne Distillers.

Terrebonne High’s Class of 2006 Reunion brought a full house, a packed dance floor and a night to remember at Bayou Terrebonne Distillers.

From reunions and weddings to company parties and private celebrations, the distillery is one of the most unique event spaces in Houma. Big thanks to Spilt liquor productions for keeping the music and dance floor going all night, Swell Design & Media, LLC for the perfect decorations and Cannatas for the delicious catering.

Louisiana Rum Day starts right here in the sugar bowl.

Both Hard Scrabble Silver Rum and Hogshead Aged Rum are made from locally grown Louisiana sugarcane and recognized as Certified Louisiana products through the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. But each bottle tells a different piece of Terrebonne’s story.

Hard Scrabble is named for an old farm down Bayou Terrebonne, established when sugar was king and a living was earned the hard way. It’s a clean, bold silver rum that carries the gritty spirit of South Louisiana, because nothing worth having comes easy.

Hogshead takes its name from the weathered barrels that once lined the market docks along our bayous, packed with everything from dried shrimp to sugar before being shipped around the world. Our aged rum is rested in Good Earth Bourbon barrels, connecting Terrebonne’s sugar heritage with our own bourbon.

Two Louisiana rums. Two pieces of Terrebonne history. Made right here in Houma.
