Hospitality, for me, has never just been about food — it’s about creating a feeling people remember long after the weekend ends
There’s something really special about creating intimate dining experiences inside a historic property like Duncraig Manor
Thoughtful food, candlelight, good conversation, and slowing down a little —

My hope is that long after checkout, guests leave carrying memories of beautiful meals shared around the table and a weekend that felt truly special🤍

I’ve been having so much fun getting ready for the Southern Pines Garden Club home tour this weekend. Just playing around with a few old pieces and giving them a fresh life 🌱

An old frame turned chalkboard,
some terra cotta pots I aged and planted,
a brass bowl I cleaned up and filled with flowers, and a big wooden bowl with a little dish garden.

I’ll have these at my booth (along with some good food, of course 🤍)

A first-time bride who waited to find her soulmate 🤍
A love worth celebrating….And one very unexpected broken leg the week of the wedding!

Originally, I was brought in for appetizers and cake… but when plans shifted, we pivoted — and I had the honor of creating the full dinner experience

The menu was a celebration in every bite:
✨ Vanilla cake with lemon curd buttercream filling and vanilla bean buttercream, adorned with fresh florals
✨ Bacon-wrapped dates
✨ French Onion tartlets fresh herb goat cheese tartlets with housemade garlic & onion jam & fresh thyme
✨ A beautiful cheese & charcuterie board
✨ Whole prime beef tenderloin with fresh herb chimichurri & mushroom red wine reduction
✨ Wild-caught roasted salmon Niçoise style with tomatoes, olives & lemon caper vinaigrette
✨ Classic pomme purée
✨ Roasted broccolini with olive oil, garlic & fresh lemon
✨ A signature cocktail to toast it all:Spanish gin & tonic with star anise, juniper berries, pink peppercorns, fresh rosemary, & lots of fresh lemon 🍋

I have a love affair with Pimento Cheese
I love this timeless, Southern staple 🤍

I’ve been making this recipe for a long time — and it’s been a staple on every menu in both catering and restaurants

A variety of cheeses, sweet pimentos, spicy jalapeños, and just the right amount of creaminess

On its own on a salty cracker or my favorite, a tortilla chip OR topped with apricot jam, salty bacon, and sweet praline pecans OR melted on a grilled cheese with those same toppings, OR on a giant fried chicken sandwich with buttermilk herb dressing and pickles, there’s endless possibilities
