Jeff was raised as a 5th generation Nevada ranching family from Yerington, he was born in Bridgeport CA, as the cattle were pastured there that time of year. Carrie grew up in the hills of Red Rock north of Reno with horses since the age of 6. We met very young in school in 8th grade when Jeff came to Reno to live with his parents after spending his youth in Yerington. We high school rodeoed toget
her and Jeff eventually went back to Yerington to finish High School living and working on the family ranch and other jobs in the area. Married in early 1986, we began our cattle herd with a few head of Brangus cows. To build our herd we bought bummer heifer calves and with our kids help we bottle fed them and raised them up to breeding age. We also bought as many mother cows as we could through the years and by adding good registered bulls such as Polled Hereford, Horned Hereford, Beefmaster, Brangus, and Angus, we have managed to raise a good quality beef animal. This year with the purchase of a new young Beefmaster bull "Snoopy Too" we are excited to add more Beefmaster back into the herd. Eager to see the calves from Snoopy next year.
