This was supposed to be our hay field for this year. 🌾The drought has done a number on yields, so we opted to graze it quickly and hope rain results in a better cutting later this summer. It's risky, but all farmers are gamblers. Pray for rain. 🌧

Life has been busy on and off the farm and we have a big lineup for the weekend ahead. Here is where you can find us (and our beef):

🥩 Restocked: We just dropped off a fresh supply of our beef at Poor Boys Produce!

🛒 Coming soon: We are currently working on a restock for the Draper Mercantile. Stay tuned!

🐄 Wytheville Farmers Market: Meagan will be at the market tomorrow with Honaker House Farm beef!

🌱At the farm: The rest of the family will be hosting Graze 300 Virginia’s Intro to Managed Grazing Workshop.

All of this is happening while managing the usual day-to-day farm tasks. Sometimes, that means dealing with the unexpected…like our workshop “facilities” for the weekend making a surprise appearance at the house until being moved to their official spot. You just never know what will show up in your yard.
