Our sorghum-sudangrass is coming in nicely. This summer annual forage will be wrapped wet for baleage to use for winter feeding. It's a great option to recoup some lost yields from our hay fields and can tolerate less moisture than traditional perennial pastures. As long as we continue to get some rain here and there, we should be able to get cuttings off of this field every 45 days and can also graze it. Producers do have to be mindful of prussic acid when grazed following drought conditions or a frost.
