Thank you, Kellie Lasack, for doing this!
Alright. Here's the deal. I've been avoiding discussing COVID-19.
As a hypochondriac (https://bit.ly/3ajOMj2) this is my worst nightmare come true. To be honest, last week, I had a panic attack worse than I've ever had. My world was spiraling and I couldn't take it.
Then, my dad text me a picture of a new baby calf on the farm. I instantly smiled and forgot about everything happening around the world. I forgot the pandemic. I forgot the dying. I forgot the fear. I forgot COVID-19.
That's when I came up with this idea. It may be a flop. It may be just what we all need.
A few years ago I started on Twitter. It went over so well and I loved seeing all the baby calves. My dad's text inspired me to take it one step further.
I'm starting a text version of "Calves for Smiles".
Everyday, whoever chooses to receive the text, will receive a picture of a baby calf. It may be mine, it may be my dad's, it may be one of my best friends, but no matter, it will be an adorable baby that will be sure to brighten your day.
If you want to put a smile on your face, forget (for a moment) what is happening around the world, then simple text 'CalvesForSmiles' to (844) 902-1839.
This is free. I'm footing the bill for this to offer a little bit of happiness to others. This is my way of helping in a time of need. I'm not a nurse. I'm not a doctor. I'm just a farmer who has some cute baby calves running around, that bring joy to anyone who sees them.
If you have some cute baby calves to share with others, please share them with me, I'll be happy to share them with others. You can either email me or message me the pictures.
Let's put a smile on some faces. Let's spread some happiness.
