Did you know? 💛🐥

Goslings can imprint on the first safe “parent” they see during their first days of life. While it’s usually their mother, if they’re raised by humans, they can imprint on us instead! That means they see us as their source of safety, comfort, and guidance—which is why these sweet babies follow me everywhere I go. 🥹

Even more amazing, geese can recognize individual people by their faces and can also learn to recognize familiar voices. They form strong, long-lasting memories of the people they trust, so if they’re hand-raised, they’ll often come running when they hear your voice and happily follow you around. ❤️

Watching them waddle behind me, peep for my attention, and race to catch up when I call them never gets old. They’re growing so fast, but I’m soaking up every tiny step and sweet little peep while I can. 💛🪿

These sweet little goslings may be tiny, but they sure have plenty to say when they’re getting loved on. They’re getting more spoiled by the day here at Tatums Backyard Coop.
