Somewhere along the way, the world decided it was better for us to forget how to feed ourselves, care for our homes, or raise our own children. They’d rather sell you convenience than see you confident. But every loaf you bake, every jar you fill, every meal you cook from scratch is a quiet declaration that your family won’t be dependent on a system that doesn’t have your best interests at heart.

It’s my favourite thing to do!

What have you traded??

I don’t trust a food system that needs a label to convince me something is “real.”
Real food doesn’t need marketing. It grows from soil, sun, and someone’s two hands who cared enough to plant it.

This is why we grow, preserve, can, bake, and feed our families from scratch.
Not because it’s trendy.
But because we remember what food is supposed to be.

And that’s also why I’m so honored to be a part of the Holidays on the Homestead cookbook this year. It’s a collection of recipes from women who are actually living this life — hands in the dough, dirt under the nails, warm kitchens, full tables. The kind of holiday food that doesn’t need an explanation or a label to feel real. It is real.

It’s only available for one week and then it’s gone forever.
Digital or printed copy, and $1 of every purchase goes toward a charity chosen by all of us homesteaders together.
Use code HAYDEN at checkout for special pricing.

If you want the link sent to you, just comment HOLIDAY below and I’ll message it to you.

Let’s make the holidays feel like home again. 🤍

Minimalism sounds nice until you’re knee-deep in seed packets, jars, and half-finished projects that all “might come in handy someday.” I’ve learned I’m not cluttered, I’m prepared. Every sack of flour, every saved seed, every jar tells a story of something homemade, homegrown, or worth keeping. And I get to share this way.

Self explanatory.

A friendly reminder that tonight we "fall back" one hour. While setting clocks that don't do it on their own, change your smoke detector & NOAA Weather Radio batteries too!

Donate your pumpkins to a local farm instead of throwing them in the trash! 🫶
