A Flood Watch has been issued for Brown County beginning at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, and continuing through late Thursday night. Conditions are favorable for heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

As a precaution, the Brownwood Public Works Department has placed free sand and sandbags under the Austin Avenue overpass near Coggin Elementary. This is a self-service location and is available to residents as needed.

Please use caution during periods of heavy rainfall and never drive through flooded roadways.
