We have these lovely ewe lambs available, at Dublin, Texas! Born in Nov/Dec. They can be bred this fall. They are high percentage Lacaune. We have used rams from the DSANA imported french semen since it was available in 2018. Why did we choose Lacaune?
The UPRA Lacaune program has the most robust udder conformation selection process, and it shows in the offspring.
Second, they produce very little wool, with open bellies, and they even shed much of their wool when it gets hot.This makes shearing a breeze! Third: they were selected from generations of grazing-based dairy flocks. Since we are a grazing operation, it makes good sense to get the right genetics for the job. No TMRs around here! So, here they are!

It never ceases to amaze me- the odd predicaments sheep will get themselves into! This little lamb was stuck in the rock ledge! His mother was very worried, so I went to investigate and got him out before any injury, happily! 😊 🐑

Was hoping no lambs would be born during this cold snap- but here she is! Happily born just as we were finishing chores for the night. Brought her in the porch to warm and dry off with the kittens. After feeding her a bellyful of colostrum, she went back out with her mama!
