We are set up with the Cambridge Farmers market out at Pilgrimage Wine Company today for their benefit concert for the flood victims

Good morning from the Grange. Wow, what a week this past week has been. First before I get to business, I just want to say thank you to every single person in our community for everything they have done. I am overcome with sadness for what has happened to our community with this flooding, but also feel such pride with just how well our community has come together and shown just what we are made here in our little community. We are strong, we are resilient, and we are a team. Giving up or waiting for someone to come along and fix it is not an option for us. We love our town and its people. We are proud to live here. We give what we can to our neighbors, be it time, money, help, food, love or anything else we can think of. When we drive down the street and see the desctruction that has taken place we know who lives there. It is a friend or family, a neighbor, or the person who we see everyday at the post office or the grocery. It's the person we went to school with. It's personal. It's heartbreaking to look at. It is not just a pile of debris to us, it's our friends whole lives there on the curb. This is why Cambridge City is rising to the challenge and doing whatever it takes as a community. It's personal, and it always will be. I just want to say thank you to everyone in this community. I wouldn't ever want to live anywhere else. ♥

Business wise, it was my intention to not open at all this weekend out of respect for our community struggling. It just didn't seem right to me. Survivors guilt I guess, but then a good friend told me that people want normalcy. There is comfort in normalcy, and that is something I can try to provide. My compromise between the two is this. Gabbard Grange will ONLY be setting up this weekend at Pilgrimage's benefit concert for the town on Saturday. They are donating 100% of their proceeds from this concert to Cambridge City and Hagerstown's recovery efforts. I can support their incredibly kind fund raising efforts, and at the same time provide a little bit of normalacy. I normally post a menu of what we are going to have, but to be honest I am having a very hard time making decisoins right now, so all I can tell you is that we are going to have Original Bread only and cookies of assorted variteties, and after that I dont know. I will post pictures of what makes it to the table on Saturday. We will NOT be setting up at Archway Days as planned, and the Bread Shed will be CLOSED this weekend.

*Susie's Pies-- Mom is not able to make pies this week. She is still not feeling back to normal from being sick and they are dealing with basement flooding. She really wanted to, but her back is very unhappy and it is just not possible. A huge thank you to Dungan's Plumbing and Heating. Mom and Daddy's basement flooding would have been so much worse than it was without their quick thinking, kindness and help.

Good Morning from the Grange! Happy Back to School week to all!
It has been a busy and exciting week here for sure! Since school has started back, the Grange will be going back to our winter hours for the Bread Shed, since I need to be able to do school pickup, so the hours for Grange products in the Bread Shed on Fridays will be going to back to 330-5p, starting this week. Here is what we will have and where Gabbard Grange will be this week. Luckily I was able to get Jalapenos from Terry Garrett at the Farmers Market last week, so we will have local Jalalpenos in the Jalapeno Cheddar this week, so no Salmonella worries here, thank goodness for locally grown produce! Susie of Susie's Pies is still recooperating, so she will not have pies this weekend.

Schedule:
Friday-
Bread Shed from 3:30-5p
Saturday-
Cambridge City Main Street Farmers Market: 9-12
Pilgrimage Wine Company Treaty Line Music Festival 12-6p

Here's what we will have this weekend:

-Jalapeno Cheddar 🌶️🧀 *Made with Locally grown Jalapenos and Cabot's Seriously Sharp Cheddar*
-Guinness Dubliner

Grumbl Cookies:
-Ultimate Nestle Chocolate Chip 🍪
-Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies🥜🍫
