Get to know our horses weekly:

Meet Benny, one of the wisest horses on the ranch. Before joining us, Benny spent years working hard at a neighboring ranch, earning his reputation as a dependable and trustworthy trail partner.

These days, Benny enjoys a slower pace of life. He’s happiest with a feed bucket nearby, a friendly pat on the neck, and a sunny spot to catch a nap. Gentle, kind, and always ready for a snack, Benny has become a favorite among guests and wranglers alike.

Though he may be a little sleepier these days, Benny still has plenty of heart and loves being part of the herd.

Meet Tibs, proof that good things come in small packages. Don’t let his size fool you, this little guy is one of the hardest workers on the ranch and always keeps the group moving down the trail.

Tibs is friendly, dependable, and always ready for the next adventure. When he’s not carrying guests through the Wyoming backcountry, you’ll usually find him soaking up attention from the wranglers or half-asleep during grooming time.

Small but mighty, Tibs has earned a big place in our hearts and is a favorite among riders and staff alike.

The beginning of the guiding season always carries a little nervous energy. Not because I haven’t saddled up a hundred times before — some days I feel like I could ride these trails with my eyes closed. It’s more the step back into the rhythm of business and scheduling: coordinating rides, preparing horses, making every effort to keep everyone safe — guides, guests, interns, our children, the cats, etc....continued in comments.
