I gave Jonah the breeding ram's ground mutton a try for sup yesterday.
Yeah, you read that right..........
I took him to the butcher since his two-year breeding job had come to its end. It was definitely with mixed emotions as I loaded him up on the trailer for the worst day of his life.
And it felt a little odd dumping a pound of him into the dutch oven and cooking him up.
But I view it as him fulfilling the purpose God gave him.
Anyway.
The recipe I used was sent to me by my lamb meat customer and friend, Sherry.
I was more than a little dubious of the mix of spices it called for and then to top it off, the fact I was using meat from my breeding ram.
But lo and behold, it all turned out vedy vedy delicious......
So, thanks Sherry!
And I dare ya to give it a try for yourself. Just dm me or drop a comment and I'll get it to you ASAP :)

ps: I may put together a box or two or three of Jonah's mutton meat for a select few of you guys to try. If you're interested, just let me know!
pps: like I really didn't know what to expect, I figured his meat would be a strong, gamey flavor and tough. but I'd venture to say I wouldn't've known the difference whether I was eating lamb or mutton... I'll have to test some of his other cuts and see if there's any major differences.
