What’s for dinner? Strip steaks and Delmonicos!

Did you know the Delmonico steak has a history dating back to the 1800s? It was made famous by Delmonico’s Restaurant in New York City, which opened in 1827 and is often credited as one of the first restaurants in the United States where customers could order from a menu.

Exactly which cut was used for the original Delmonico steak is still debated, but one thing hasn’t changed a thick, flavorful steak makes for a pretty great dinner.

Our August butcher date is officially sold out for pre-orders, but don’t worry - we’ll still have plenty of individual cuts available!
