The hard freeze in January killed all of my strawberry plants and most of my blackberry canes to the ground. I have a couple dozen plants that are beginning to bloom so I won’t have many blackberries this year. The late hard frost in March got all but a handful of blooms on my blueberries. Where I normally heat close to five gallons of blueberries per plant on 25 plants I may be lucky enough to get half gallon total this year.

First a joke. How fast did the man run to catch a running van? But seriously how stupid can people be? Leaving their car running and they aren’t in it. On these days it’s not safe to leave your keys in the vehicle unless you have a hidden kill switch so car can’t be cranked or even hot wired unless the kill switch is on. To keep power from getting to the starter so it won’t crank period.

The. Blackberries are getting ripe now. Anyone that’s wants them can come pick all they want while available for free this year. Just contact me ahead of time. To make sure there will be berries for you. Blueberries will be free this year too and it will be another two weeks before they are ready to harvest
