I’ve been on vacation! Time away did me good! I went to Lake Wylie, SC to one of my bestie’s homes then on to the beach!
I had a great time. Saw a rainbow and a full moon. Had some great food at Blueberry’s Grill, Brother's Grill, and Hook & Barrel in MB. Spent time with Brennon & Adeline, family I hadn’t seen in years, and another bestie that l miss so much! Vegetated on the beach & at the pool. Could’ve stayed another week and seriously considered it but came home for two reasons- one being DTG. I’m soooo glad y’all showed up this week. Thank you❤️

Here’s the menu for this coming *WEDNESDAY* (9/2) individually packaged dinners to go.
How is it September?

It’s so nice having food prepared and ready in your fridge when you don’t feel like cooking! I’ve benefited from my own meals recently and it’s great if I do say so myself!

1.) SNACK BOXES:
Haven’t offered these in a while!
Fresh fruit, veggies, cheese, pepperoni. Mini cheddar bacon ranch cheeseball. Crackers. $12

2.) SALMON MEAL:
Pan seared salmon on a bed of rice with asparagus. $17

3.) BEEF STROGANOFF:
Fall apart beef roast with creamy gravy over egg noodles.
Garden salad.
$17 no salad
$20 with salad

***If there is a stop sign at the choice that means it’s sold out.🛑***

Should we talk cake? This is what I do to ensure the best layer cake results. Parchment paper in each greased cake pan. Cake flower nails turned upside down in the middle of each pan. Make sure you spray your pan again and get the nail well greased too. Foil around each pan (instead of cake strips-I’m not a fan). Eggs should be room temperature. I usually put them in warm water for a bit. Break the eggs into a black bowl. Shells are easier to spot that way. Believe me - if you’re breaking your eggs straight into your cake or cookie batter- I have experienced that egg shell crunch and I do NOT like it! 🤣
Weigh the batter as you divide it into each pan. Bake. Cool no more than 10 minutes. Flip out and cool on parchment. I sometimes wrap and freeze the cake layers depending on the time schedule- to help sill in the moisture. All of this TLC creates a more even bake and less doming. Through many years of trial and error this is just the way I like doing it. I’m sure others have their own ways of what works for them. What do you do?

It’s appetizer day but I’m starting the photos with the fruit pizza dessert because it’s so pretty! I did a lime and lavender sugar cookie base, a lightened up cream cheese icing, fresh fruit, herbs and pansies from my garden. I always have a few pansies hanging on. 💜
Next, ham and cheese pinwheels. Y’all love these so much and I just don’t get it🤣🤣🤣 🤷🏻‍♀️Moving on…
Meatballs (all beef, hand rolled, sweet and spicy glaze). Pepperoni rolls - this time with smoked cheddar inside. Omg so good! Chicken wings. Seven layer dip. Graze board. Yum‼️

What’s your favorite and why?
I’m not a big pie fan. I’d rather have cake. Or ice cream! However, the older I get the more I like it. My Uncle Charles loved lemon, so I do too!
Plus I want anything chocolate (dark chocolate) - so the chocolate pecan would do just fine too! I’ll take both! Ha!
