Vendor Introduction!
Let’s welcome the Hinkle Homestead to Creekside! They will be bringing a variety of freeze dried items to our store.

Creekside has been carrying several freeze dried goodies since the small beginnings of our farmstand. However, due to the double blessing of family growth and farmstand growth we have not been able to keep up with the freeze dried demand. We are excited to have a small family freeze drying operation ready to offer their products.

A soon to be father, Justin wanted a way to support his family while being present as his family grew. He and Bethany have a strong passion for good local food and they realized freeze drying was a great way to put good foods into the hands of individuals from all stages and walks of life.

The Hinkle’s have demonstrated their dedication to good food by sourcing from only local growers (with the exception of items like kiwi and passion fruit that don’t grow here). Their growers, like Spiral Path Farm, Three Springs Fruit Farm, and their own gardens, are focused on sustainable and little to no pesticide use.

They will give up profits in order to maintain their commitment to only local fresh foods which they proved this year as they have chosen not to purchase peaches from further away after a poor PA peach harvest. Freeze dried fans know that is a big deal since peaches are one of the favorite freeze dried fruits!

Recently, because of repeated requests, Justin started carrying a limited amount of candy as well. Though he hopes it will just be a gateway into the wonderful world of healthier freeze dried snacks.

A couple product updates and highlights!

🍎 Apple cakes in store until supplies last. They are extra delicious when warmed up and topped with vanilla ice cream.

🥜 Honey roasted peanutbutter is back in stock! This peanutbutter is homemade by Perry County Bee Company and they use organic peanuts.

🥚 We apologize for our egg shortages lately! We heard your feedback and have partnered with a Duncannon family who will be bringing eggs in addition to the ones from our little flock. Cartons are marked with the source farm.

Posting a day late, but dairy has been restocked! You all have been loving Conoco's raw A2 cheeses so we added this one to the lineup! This garlic and chives cheddar is sure to be a hit at your fall gatherings!

What a wild ride this has been for Creekside! We updated our description to reflect the evolution of our farmstand that has us all feeling so blessed!

Creekside started out as a proud Pap's vision to have a place for his children and grandchildren to sell their products. His vision supported the launch of several of his offspring's endeavors.

We realized that there were so many other families out there just like us! They are producing amazing quality products because they feel strongly about healthy food choices and they want to live a more family centered lifestyle.

Huge thank you to all the families who are working so hard to produce all this quality food!!

And a huge thank you to Pap, whose idea is now blessing so many families with the ability to produce local and shop local. (We would post a picture of his contagious smile but since he isn't a fan of social media we will let him remain anonymous 😉).
