Tree cutting starts today at the farm! Join us for old fashioned Christmas fun. We only cut a small number of trees each year (between 60 and 100). These trees are barely pruned and will have longer boughs and more space between branches for a more natural, old fashions Christmas tree look. Dress warm for a short walk up to the Field. Trees are spread out over the farm. Think ”going to Grandma’s to cut a tree”. Fresh wreaths, swags and greens are made each week at the farm. We provide saws for your use. Please bring what is needed to secure your tree in or on your vehicle. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday’s between 10 am and 4:30 pm. During the week and on weekends after December 3, please call to schedule time to cut. 507-645-4182. See you at the farm!

We are no longer hosting our Fall Harvest Festival at the farm. After 26 years, last fall was our final season.There have been some inquiries about coming out to the farm to purchase pumpkins. Unfortunately, we do not have pumpkins for purchase at the farm. Thank you for your patronage over the years. We are focusing on our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and vegetables at this time.

We are excited to be entering another growing season and are happy to be planting.The green house is up and running.Egg plant, tomatoes and pepper plants have already been started. Tomorrow cabbage, broccoli, and kohlrabi will go in.
We are still taking in registrations for the 2015 growing season. Don't miss out on some great produce and a chance to come back and visit the farm.
Members who are receiving produce have the opportunity to also purchase egg, chicken and turkey shares.

Thorn Crest Farm's Christmas in the Country starts Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Fridays noon to 4:30 pm and Sat. And Sundays 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Thru Dec. 7. All gift shop merchandise is 50 to 75 % off! enjoy the start of the holiday season with hot cider and holiday music while you shop. Tree cutting starts and continues through December 21. Call for times outside of regular hours. Fresh wreaths made at the farm each week. Come out and enjoy a delightful day in the country!

Thorn Crest by Candle-lite will be Friday, October 10th, 2014. 6:30pm-9:30pm. Band, bonfire, and hay ride. Admission is $4 per person.

Thorn Crest Farm's "Fall Harvest Festival" begins next Friday, September 26th at noon. Hours are Fridays: Noon-5pm, Saturdays and Sundays: 10:30am-5pm. The festival is open through October 19th. This will be our last season for both our fall and Christmas festivals. Gift shop merchandise will be discounted! Please come out and help us celebrate! We've enjoyed being a part of your lives and it's been a pleasure to have helped you create memories. Stay connected to the farm by becoming a member of our CSA program. "Christmas in the Country" at Thorn Crest Farm is still open for tree cutting. Wreaths, swags, fresh greens and gift shops all available through this Sunday, December 8. After Sunday, the gift shops will close, but we still have swags, wreaths, fresh evergreen, and trees available to cut. If stopping out after the 8th, call for times. 507-645-4182.
