Why We’re Here
The Heaths are a farming family. Corn and soybean farmers for 4 generations, Farmer Bob and his dad Harold were honored to continue the tradition. That is, until they both became sick from chemical exposure, nearly dying to the effects. Several doctors, tests, and procedures yielded no results, so the family tried the next option - healthier food.
Bob and his wife Kirsten started growing their own food! They tilled a garden in their back yard, they built a chicken coop and filled it with laying hens, and they also raised meat chickens to keep themselves in healthy food. And boy did it help! Within a few months, Bob was recovering, much quicker than any previous treatment was able to achieve.
Though the farm has expanded from those early days, our mission is still the same - health. So many people are learning the importance of good food, to not only their personal wellbeing, but also the environment. Our method of raising chickens on pasture allows our customers to increase their health naturally and easily, and every chicken we sell is another piece of farmland that we get to revitalize.
