It’s been a really good week here at Harper Farms. 3 healthy calves in the pastures in the last week. Loving the color we get from our herd bull, RFSS Blue Rambo. Got a few more due soon and can’t wait to see them too! Enjoying even more having my love Shannon out with me to enjoy calving season this year.

Anddddddd just like that fall calving is over for us. Another healthy heifer calf today. Super happy how this group of calves did and this cow has really turned into a rockstar the older she gets. Looks pretty good for a 10 yo cow. We we’re blessed this year heading into winter.

A new bull calf born today at the ranch. This cow is a standout in the herd and I was so glad to see her come back with a really nice calf after she aborted her calf last year. One more left to go!

Came home this morning to see our first calf heifer laid down and had a baby heifer calf overnight. She has been doing fantastic with her and super super happy with how she’s turned out. First calf heifers always make me nervous because ya never know how they will do, but the reward was great with this one and it’s great to see the time invested retaining her paid off. 2 more to go and they are bagging up quick!

We were blessed with another healthy calf last night. A stout little heifer out of one of the first cows I ever purchased. This ol shorthorn plus cow has been pumping out calves for me for 8 years or so. She usually weans one of the heaviest calves and she is just one hell of a momma cow. She’s been as rock solid as they come.

Our first fall calf of 2022 has arrived. Solid black bull out of one of our Hereford mommas. He is up and healthy and we couldnt be more excited for another crop of Waygu F1 being born!
