Behind many of the Western Bluebird sightings at Knudsen Vineyards is the care and dedication of volunteers like Roger Williams of the Prescott Bluebird Recovery Project. đđŁ
Each week throughout nesting season, Roger visits our vineyard to monitor the bluebird boxes placed across the property, carefully checking nest activity, tracking hatchlings, and helping support the health of the local Western Bluebird population throughout the Dundee Hills.
These efforts play an important role in protecting native bird populations and maintaining a healthy vineyard ecosystem. From tiny blue eggs to newly hatched chicks, every successful nest is the result of ongoing stewardship, patience, and care.
Weâre incredibly grateful for Rogerâs time, knowledge, and continued partnership with Knudsen Vineyards, and proud to support the important work of the Prescott Bluebird Recovery Project.
Please remember that nest boxes should only be opened or monitored by trained volunteers to help protect the birds during nesting season.
