Fall is settling into the Dundee Hills, and the 2026 vintage is taking shape.

All of our red grapes are now in, with the last of the whites arriving this week. In the cellar, harvest continues at full pace as we tend fermentations, manage caps, press, and begin to move w**es into barrel.

It’s that point in the season when the vineyard begins to turn toward fall and, inside the w**ery, we start to see the character of the vintage emerge.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but 2026 is beginning to show us what it has to say. And so far, it is promising indeed.

Gorgeous fruit. Perfect numbers. And every reason to be excited about what’s ahead. 2026 is shaping up to be a super high-quality vintage!!

A new day, the last fruit, and the beginning of something special in the cellar.

AUGUST 25TH OFFICIALLY MARKED THE FIRST DAY OF HARVEST AT WINDERLEA, AND WE’VE BEEN BUSY 😅
 
The 2026 vintage is shaping up beautifully! After early picks for sparkling and Rosé, we’re now into Pinot noir and Chardonnay across both Winderlea and Worden Hill.

And that little sprinkle of rain? No worries. The grapes didn’t mind a bit.

It’s a special time of year to visit Winderlea. Join us for a glass, watch the vineyard change with the season, and catch up with Anna, Scott and the team on all things harvest!

Join us this Saturday, September 12 at 4:00 PM for a special Library tasting featuring a rare retrospective of Winderlea’s ¡Salud! Pinot Noir alongside selections from the 2015 vintage.

We’ll begin by looking back across nearly a decade of our ¡Salud! bottlings, tasting four vintages side by side:
