The Highlands get the attention. Penny and Cornbread get the fan mail.

We recently had a guest tell us that Penny was her absolute favorite, with Cornbread coming in a close second.

With more than 50 animals here, we never quite know who’s going to steal someone’s heart.

Sometimes it’s a Highland. Sometimes it’s a chicken. Sometimes it’s a pig named Cornbread.

That’s one of our favorite things about sharing this little farm.

We’ve had a lot of sweet moments on the farm, but finding this little note left behind by our guests from Massachusetts was pretty special.

The kind words were wonderful, but those hand-drawn pictures of our animals really got us!

We put a lot of love into this little farm, and knowing that others enjoy it as much as we do makes it all worthwhile.

Karleigh and Hunter, thank you for making our day. We’re keeping this one!

Penny has been keeping a little secret from us…

I kept hearing her egg song, but couldn’t figure out where she was laying. Well, we finally found them.

A whole little clutch tucked into the grass beside the porch and Bessie our permanent calf. Never mind the perfectly good coop.

Penny apparently found her own spot. Anyone else’s chickens completely ignore perfectly good nesting boxes?
