The babies were out playing yesterday afternoon.

While Biscuits the pig enjoyed a well-earned nap, the baby goats had other plans. One by one, they scrambled onto their favorite platform, launched themselves into the air, and used poor Biscuits as a landing pad, springboard, and audience all at once.

Thankfully, Biscuits slept through most of the chaos. The goats, on the other hand, were determined to set new records for airtime.

Just another day where cozy meets countryside at Little Tail Farms.

The babies came out to play.

One minute they’re wobbling around the barn on brand-new legs. The next, they’re racing through the pasture, exploring every stick, patch of clover, and curious corner they can find.

Their moms keep a watchful eye while the Great Pyrenees stand guard nearby, and the whole farm feels a little more alive with tiny hooves bouncing across the grass.

Spring at Little Tail Farms is full of moments like these. Tiny tails wagging. Little leaps of confidence. And baby goats discovering that the world is a pretty exciting place.

Cornbread, our sweet and gentle KuneKune pig, is happiest when he’s soaking up attention and making new friends during our Saturday farm tours. Lightning, on the other hand, keeps life interesting. If there’s mischief to be found, chances are he’s already thought of it.

These two were hanging out by the fence this morning looking for cookies, with Cornbread posing politely for the camera while Lightning stood behind him, likely plotting his next questionable decision.

Life on the farm is never boring when these two are around.

Lilli welcomed three beautiful little doelings into the world, and the barn feels extra magical tonight.

Welcome to the farm, Lucy, Zoey, and April, named by one of our guests, and my little helper during delivery, the sweetest little girl with the biggest smile.

Saturday, the pasture comes alive. Guests gather at the fence line, hands full of treats, and the animals know exactly what that means. Goats line up shoulder to shoulder, noses reaching through, while the Highlands wander over slow and steady, waiting their turn. It’s laughter, a little chaos, and those simple moments that turn into something you remember long after you leave.

Then Sunday settles in a bit quieter.

Bella stepped in as our helper, patient and focused as we trimmed the girls’ hooves, learning the kind of care that keeps the herd healthy and happy. Not the flashy part of farm life, but one of the most important.

Draven and Elliot have a new pasture partner and we think it was love at first sight. Frank joined us last week, and these two have already claimed their sunny spot, taking turns lounging and keeping watch over the field.

Something tells us this is the start of a pretty sweet story. Come meet them soon.
